On Thursday, October 15, Super-Sonic Jazz returns to Skatecafe for a brand-new edition of Super-Sonic Jam. The concept of Super-Sonic Jam originated a few years ago in the basement of Paradiso during the annual Super-Sonic Jazz Festival. During these informal jam sessions, musicians and visitors came together to play until the late hours of the night; it was all about spontaneity, creativity, and improvisation.Since early 2024, Super-Sonic Jam has found its home at Skatecafe, where every single edition so far has sold out in no time. During these nights, Super-Sonic Jazz invites various artists and collectives to host the jam. Previously, the stage has been taken over by London's Steam Down, Rotterdam's House of Knowledge, Haarlem's INI Movement, and the Amsterdam-based initiatives Els Jam and Higherlife Jam.Who will take musical the lead for this edition remains a surprise for now, but one thing is certain: every edition bursts with energy, featuring guest musicians and vocalists who spontaneously elevate the live set. Through OSHI, a sustainable infrastructure is being built for talented acts, allowing them to further develop on an artistic, organizational, and personal level.
